Solution

Dilute Sulphuric acid with Lead nitrate:-

  1. When we react dilute Sulphuric acid with lead nitrate, it gives Lead sulphate and nitric acid as its product.
  2. This Lead sulphate is a white ppt and it does not dissolve in hot water.
  3. Balanced chemical reaction:- Pb(NO3)2aq(Leadnitrate)+H2SO4aq(Dil.sulphuricacid)PbSO4white(Leadsulphate)+2HNO3aq(Nitricacid)

Hence, the acid on mixing with Lead nitrate solution produces a white precipitate which is insoluble even on heating is dilute sulphuric acid.
