In the first case, A magnet attracts magnetic materials like iron pieces. This attraction is due to magnetic force. Magnetic force is a non-contact force. Small pieces of iron can get attracted to the magnet even from a distance. (1 mark)

In the second case, man is applying muscular force to push the trolley, and we already know that muscular force is a type of contact force. (1 mark)


In the last case, When you bring the balloon close to the water stream, the charges on the balloon attract the charges on the water molecules. So, here electrostatic force comes into play, and electrostatic force is a type of non contact force.
