Solution

The correct option is A Tyrosine
The amino acid that has an aromatic ring. It has potential to absorb light due to its conjugated bonds. Tyrosine has an aromatic ring. The thyroid hormones are formed by the attachment of the iodine to the aromatic ring of the tyrosine residue. One iodine attaches to tyrosine and forms Monoiodotyrosine (MIT) and two iodine attaches to form diiodotyrosine (DIT). One MIT combines with one DIT to form triiodothyronine. Thyroxine is formed by the combination of two DIT.
