The solution 'C'’ is copper sulfate and hence the cation is Cu2+

That is, the reaction of ammonium hydroxide with copper sulfate (or Cu2+ cations) solution produces bluish-white precipitate of copper hydroxide, which is soluble in excess of ammonium hydroxide.
