Solution

The correct option is D

2ClO2+H2OHClO2+HClO3

A balanced chemical equation has an equal number of atoms on the reactant and product side.
Equation: 2ClO2+H2OHClO2+HClO3

If you count the number of atoms for equation given above we have:- The number of chlorine atom present on reactant and product side is 2.
- The number of oxygen atoms present on reactant and product side is 5.
- The number of hydrogen atoms present on reactant and product side is 2.
Hence, the equation is balanced.

In 2NaHCO35Na2CO3+CO2+H2O the number of sodium atoms, oxygen atoms and hydrogen atoms are not equal in the reactant and product side.

In CaC2+H2OC2H2+Ca(OH)2 the number of hydrogen atoms and oxygen atoms are not equal in the reactant and product side.

In 2HgO3Hg + 4O2 the number of mercury atoms and oxygen atoms are not equal in the reactant and product side.
