Identify the correct equation to define EFP?
EFP=GHP-(BCOP+CHP).
EFP-is a the total pressure that promotes glomerular filtration.It is determined by three pressures- GHP( glomerular hydrostatic pressure) it id blood pressure in the glomerulus due to narrow efferent arteriole.value of GHP is about 60 (75) mmHg. BCOP(blood colloid osmotic pressure)it is osmotic pressure create in the blood of glomerulus due to plasma protein it is value is about 32 (30)mm Hg. CHP(capsular hydrostatic pressure)it is caused by fluid occupying the bowman capsule and resists filtration, is valued about 18 (20)mmHG. hence EFP = GHP -(BCOP +CHP) = 60-(32+18) 75(30+20) = 10 mmHg/25 mmHg thus pressure of 10 /25 .mmHg cause a normal amount of blood plasma to filter from the glomerular into the glomerular capsule.
