Identify the correct matching set of pituitary gland and hormones.
Anterior lobe:- LH,FSH,GH,
Posterior lobe:- ADH, Oxytocin
Anterior pituitary or adenohypophysis produces growth hormone (GH), prolactin (PRL), thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH), adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH), luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH). Pars intermedia (intermediate lobe of the pituitary) secretes only one hormone called melanocyte-stimulating hormone (MSH). Neurohypophysis (pars nervosa) also known as posterior pituitary, stores, and releases two hormones called oxytocin and vasopressin (ADH), which are actually synthesised by the hypothalamus and are transported axonally to the neurohypophysis. The diagram given below illustrates the various hormones secreted by different parts of the pituitary gland.
