Be2Cl4 forms two 3c4e bridge bonds. The bridge bond involves here are of 4 electrons, as two from covalent bond and two from co-ordinate bond from Cl to Be. Such that each Be atoms has three bonds around each other which result sp2 hybridization and planar geometry.
