Solution

The correct option is A

- Vehicles, Methane - Excreta of all living organisms, Water vapour - Sea water, - Plants

The correct pairs are:

(i) CO2 - Vehicles

Reason:- Fuels used in vehicles contain carbon along with other elements. So combustion of these fuels converts carbon to carbon dioxide.

(ii) Methane - Cow dung is used to produce biogas than contains methane.

Reason:- Cow dung contains methane and slurry of cow dung is used in biogas to obtain biogas.

(iii) Water Vapour - Seawater

Reason:- A sunlight falls on seawater then molecules of water on the surface have higher kinetic energy than molecules below the surface and they evaporate to convert into water vapour.

(iv) O2 - Plants

Reason:- During photosynthesis plants take carbon dioxide CO2, water H2O in the presence of chlorophyll and sunlight to produce glucose and oxygen.

6CO2(g) +6H2O(l) sunlight , chlorophyll−−−−−−−−−−−− C6H12O6(s) + 6O2(g)
