Calvin cycle involves three phases which occur in a sequence of Carboxylation, Reduction and Regeneration. In carboxylation phase RUBP accepts $C{O}_2$ and PGA is produced. In reduction phase PGA is reduced to triose phosphate and finally, in regeneration phase RuBP is regenerated.
