1) K.E lost as heat, when bullet is fired into a block.
2) K.E lost as frictional heat, when a running man jumps into a train.Hence is an inelastic collision.
3) Coefficient of restitution is zero for perfectly inelastic collision.The objects do not move apart after the collision, but instead they coalesce. Kinetic energy is converted to heat or work done in deforming the objects.
4) There is no loss of kinetic energy during perfectly elastic collision but K.E gets lost during inelastic collision as the velocity of the moving object becomes zero in that case.
