Sickle Cell Anaemia
Sickle Cell Anaemia is a genetic disorder in which a defect in genes causes deformities in the synthesis of haemoglobin which causes the red blood cell to collapse and misshapen. It takes the shape of the sickle and ends up clogging the blood vessels. It reduces the oxygen supply to the body which results in anaemia.
