For an indirect variation, as x approaches 0, y becomes very large, i.e., with increasing value of x, y decreases and vice versa.

This type of relation can be represented by a curved graph like the one in the option (c.).



Option (a.) which is also a curved graph, in the initial part, shows increase of y with x which is a kind of direct variation. But towards the end, y decreases with increasing x, showing indirect relation.
However, this graph cannot be classified as an indirect variation.


Options (b.) and (d.) have straight line graphs, so they are incorrect.
