Solution
The correct option is B(i) Troposphere (ii) Ozone layer (iii) Mesosphere (iv) Thermosphere The lowest and thickest part of the atmosphere is the Troposphere, which extends up to about 12 km from the surface of the Earth. This layer experiences climatic changes and is also used for commercial aviation. The Tropopause marks the boundary of the Troposphere beyond which lies the Stratosphere. It ranges from 12 km to about 55 km and is house to the ozone layer. The Mesosphere lies above the Stratosphere from around 50 km to 85 km and is the coldest part of the atmosphere. Next, lies the Thermosphere extending from about 80 km to 800-1000 km. At around 100 km lies the Karman line, which marks the boundary between atmosphere and outer space. Beyond this line lies the Exosphere. This contains most of the satellites orbiting the Earth.
