Identify the labelled parts of the kidney.
G: Renal artery, H: Renal vein
Kidneys are bean-shaped organs situated on both the sides of the vertebral column. They are vital organs of the body which help in maintaining homeostasis by filtering waste products. A kidney receives oxygenated blood from the heart which is pumped into the aorta through the renal artery (the part labelled G) and the filtered blood is pumped back into the vena cava through the renal vein (the part labelled H).
