Water at room temperature


Liquid is that state of the matter which has a definite volume but no definite shape. If we put a few blocks of ice or a ball of snow in a container, its shape doesn't change, so they occupy a fixed volume as well as shape. In the case of water at a room temperature, if it is filled in a bowl, it takes the shape of the bowl. Thus, it has fixed volume but not a fixed shape. Water vapour neither has a fixed shape nor fixed volume. So amongst the options, water at room temperature is the best example of a liquid.
