Identify the mismatch in the following pairs
Pistil - microsporophyll
If a flower consists of two or more carpels, the carpels may be free or apocarpous as in lotus or syncarpous, i.e., fused as seen in mustard or tomato. Gynoecium or pistil is the female reproductive whorl with carpels as their units. Carpels are further divided into an ovary, style and stigma. The pistil is also traditionally known as megasporophyll. The anthers on the other hand are called microsporophylls.
