Solution

Identify the numerical coefficients of the terms

The numerical coefficient of a term is the numerical factor of the term. It is a constant in the expression.

Given expression is -p2q2+7pq.

The terms (other than the constant) in the expression are: -p2q2 and 7pq.

Their numerical coefficients are:

-p2q2-17pq7

Therefore, the numerical coefficients of the terms -p2q2 and 7pq are -1 and 7 respectively.

Note:

When the coefficient is -1, the digit is omitted in writing and the sign is placed in front of the term.
