Identify the parts which vibrates to produce sound in following instruments.

Open in App
Solution

We know that violin has strings whose transverse vibrations produce music.
Similarly, tabla has a membrane, which on tapping produces sound.
For producing sound in flute, we have to blow in the air column.

Thus, flute comes under air column type, tabla comes under stretched membrane type and violin comes under stretched string type of musical instrument.
