The correct option is B trounced, Active When a subject is directly acting on the object, the sentence is written in Active voice
When the object is acted upon by the subject, the sentence is written in Passive voice.
The given sentence in past perfect tense. Therefore it is expected that the position of the past participle is just after "had", i.e. had + pat participle.
