The process involved in the conversion of a solid to a liquid is called melting. A solid melts as we heat the substance above its melting point.

Boiling is the process of conversion of a liquid to the gaseous state. It can be achieved by heating the substance to its boiling point.

Condensation is the method to convert gases to liquids. Liquids can be easily condensed by lowering the temperature.

On further lowering the temperature of the liquid to its freezing point, it starts to solidify. The conversion of a liquid to a solid is called solidification.
