Solution

  • Solutions are the homogeneous mixtures of two or more substances in which a solute particle is completely soluble in the solvent and cannot be separated by any physical method.
  • solute are the substances that are to be dissolved in the solvent. it is the minor component of solute i.e. present in a lesser amount.
  • Solvents are substances that dissolve other substances. it is the major component of the solution i.e. present in a large amount.
  • If we take the example of salt and water, salt is solute because it is present in small quantities and water is solvent because it is present in a large amount. similarly, in sugar and water, sugar is solute and water is solvent.
