Solution

The correct options are
A Burning of municipal solid waste
B Stone crushers and construction activities
C Power plants emissions

Some of the sources of air pollution are:

  • Stone crushers give rise to a substantial quantity of dust emissions, which create health hazards. It adversely affects visibility, reduces the growth of vegetation and hampers aesthetics of the area.
  • The National Capital Region generates 10,000 tons of municipal solid waste per day, much of which is eventually burned. Wastes that are non-biodegradable, when burnt, give rise to lot of carbon emissions which add to the particulate pollution to the air.
  • Coal-fired power plant industries contribute to more than 40% of air pollution in our cities.
