Solution
Anaphase is the fourth phase of mitosis. The centromeres split and the sister chromatids of each chromosome separate and they are pulled to the opposite poles of the cell with the help of spindle fibers. Anaphase ensures that each daughter cell receives an identical set of chromosomes, and it is followed by the fifth and final phase of mitosis, known as telophase.
