Stereotype is a generalised belief about a particular category of people. We make stereotypes when we believe that similar kinds of jobs or professions are related to similar kinds of people or genders.
For example, ‘girls should work in the kitchen’, or ‘boys should not cry’ is the stereotype ideology.
Similarly, the idea that only men can be farmers is another example of stereotypical thinking.
