(i) The tendency of attracting electrons towards itself is known as electron affinity.
(ii) Froth floatation method is used for separation of ore from gangue by preferential wetting.Ore is wetted by the oil hence floats on top as a foam and gangue is wetted by the water and settles down.
(iii) Nickel is used as a catalyst for the conversion of ethyne to ethane.It is an addition reaction.
(iv) Alkenes undergo addition reactions.
(v) The outermost shell electrons that take part in chemical reaction are known as Valence Electrons.
