Solution

The correct option is C 35, 16
The given series: 14,1,21,4,28,9,?,? consists of two series.
1st series: 14,21,28,? 2nd series: 1,4,9,?
in the 1st series, each of the next number is 7 more than its previous number.
In the 2nd series, each of the number is square of natural number starting from 1, 2, 3....
Clearly, 28+7=35 and 42=16
Hence, option (C) is the correct answer.
