Identify the terms corresponding only to ratios
Antecedent
Consequent
The two numbers which form the ratio are called the ' Terms of the ratio'.
The first of the two quantities forming a ratio is called Antecedent and the second one is called the Consequent,
e.g.: in the ratio 8: 5, 8 and 5 are the two terms of the ratio.
8 is the antecedent and 5 is the consequent of the ratio.
