Joints present in the neck are known as pivotal joints(H).
The point at which two separate bones are joined together is known as joints. With the help of these joints, we can bend or move our body parts. On the basis of the mobility of the joints, they are classified into the following types: ball-and-socket joint, hinge joint, pivotal joint, gliding joint and synovial joints.
In pivotal joints, one bone is rotated over a pivot-like end of another bone. For example- the skull rotates on the upper end of the backbone.
