Identify the wrong statement regarding post-fertilisation development.
The outer integument of ovule develops into tegmen
A fertilized egg is known as a zygote which gives rise to the embryo. In angiosperms, fertilisation or syngamy is associated with triple fusion. In triple fusion, out of the two sperm cells one fuses with the central cell in the embryo sac to form the primary endosperm nucleus which further develops into the endosperm. During post fertilization, the ovary forms the fruit and ovules form the seeds. Integuments of ovule form seed coat whose outer one is called the testa and the inner one, the tegmen. The pericarp is formed from the ovary wall.
