Solution

The correct option is A True

Bicuspid and Tricuspid valves:

  1. The atrioventricular valves (AV valves) that prevent the backflow of blood into the right and left auricles are called bicuspid and tricuspid valves.
  2. The location of the tricuspid or right atrioventricular valve is between the right atrium and the right ventricle.
  3. The location of the mitral or bicuspid or left atrioventricular valve is between the left atrium and the left ventricle.

Blood flow in atria:

  1. The deoxygenated blood from other organs flows into the right auricle via the vena cava and the oxygenated blood flows from the lungs into the left auricle via the pulmonary vein.
  2. During this time, the atrial systole occurs causing the blood to move into their respective ventricles by the opening of the bicuspid and tricuspid valves.

The given statement is true.
