A myocardial structure that is present near the opening of the vena cava at the corner right auricle is known as the Sino-Atrial node (SA node).
It generates electrical impulses in order to stimulate the contraction of the heart chambers.
The SA node first activates the auricles to contract by sending impulses through the atrioventricular node (AV node).
Then it activates the ventricles to contract by sending impulses through the bundle of His's branches.
