So,
$45 k m : 60 k m = \frac{45}{60} [D i v i d i n g n u m e r a t o r a n d d e n o m i n a t o r b y t h e i r H C F 15] \frac{45 \div 15}{60 \div 15} = \frac{3}{4} o r 3 : 4$
Now,
$12 h o u r s : 15 h o u r s = \frac{12}{15} [D i v i d i n g n u m e r a t o r a n d d e n o m i n a t o r b y t h e i r H C F 3] \frac{12 \div 3}{15 \div 3} = \frac{4}{5} o r 4 : 5$
Clearly, here we see that both ratios are unequal. i.e- $45 k m : 60 k m \neq 12 h o u r s : 15 h o u r s$
