Open in App
Solution

One of the zeroes of the polynomial is 1 .

i.e. when x = 1 p(x) = 0

Let's put the value of x in the given polynomial

we get , a(1)2 -3(a - 1)1 - 1 = 0

a - 3a +3 -1 = 0

-2a +2 =0

a = -2 / -2

a = 1
