Solution

The correct option is D 4N molecules
Ideal gas equation: PV=nRT

Applying ideal gas equation for both the cases:

(i) V = 1 L, P = 1 atm or 760 mm, T = 300 K, Gas is Nitrogen
1×1=nN2×R×300 .......(1)

(ii) V = 4 L, P = 1 atm or 760 mm, T = 300 K, Gas is Oxygen
1×4=nO2×R×300 .......(2)

Dividing (1) by (2)

1×11×4=nN2×R×300nO2×R×300

nO2=4×nN2

NO2NA=4×NN2NA

NO2=4×NN2=4×N

Hence, Option "D" is the correct answer.
