If 15(2x2y2)=7xy, find the ratio of x : y.

Given that 15(2x2y2)=7xy
30x215y27xy=0
Now divide the above equation by y2 on both sides
30(xy)27(xy)15=0
Let xy=t, so we get quadratic equation in t
30t27t15=0
The roots of above equation are t=7±49+180060
t=7±4360=56,35
Therefore ratio of x:y is 5:6 or 3:5
