If 2cosθsinθ=x & cosθ3sinθ=y, Prove that 2x2+y22xy=5.

To prove 2x2+y22xy=5
i.e, x2+x2+y22xy=5
x2+(xy)2=5
x=2cosθsinθ
x2+4cos2θ+sin2θ4sinθcosθ....(1)
xy=cosθ+2sinθ
(xy)2=cos2θ+4sin2θ+4cosθsinθ......(2)
Adding (1) & (2)
5(sin2θ+cos2θ)=5
