If 2 is a zero of the polynomial p(x)=x−2kx²+kx−1 then find value of k.
Given polynomial p(x)=x−2kx²+kx−1 is zero polynomial if x is 2
Replace x by 2 we get,
p(2)=2−(2×k×2²)+(k×2)−1=0
⇒2−8k+2k−1=0
⇒6k=1
⇒k=16
Hence, value of k is 16
If one zero of the quadratic polynomial kx2+3x+k is 2 then find the value of k.
