If 240V voltage is applied to an electric heater , 2 A curcurr passes through it. Find the current flowing in the heater if 120V voltage is applied to it and also calculate the resistance of the coil of heater.

Given, when 240V is applied , 2A current is flowing Applying ,V=IR 240= 2×R => R =240/2 => R= 120 ohm.
Now when 120 V is applied Again using V=IR 120 = I ×120 => I = 120/120 => I = 1A
