If 2a=3b=4c, then a:b:c?
Step 1: Find L.C.M. of 2,3,4.
Given : 2a=3b=4c
2 can be written as=2×1
3 can be written as=3×1
4 can be written as=2×2
L.C.M. of 2,3,4 =2×2×3
L.C.M. of 2,3,4 =12
Step 2: Divide with the L.C.M.
2a=3b=4c⇒2a12=3b12=4c12⇒a6=b4=c3
Hence, a:b:c=6:4:3
If a = 3x − 5y, b = 6x + 3y and c = 2y − 4x, find
(i) a + b − c; (ii) 2a − 3b + 4c.
