The given equations are,
2x+3y=24 ....(1)
2x3y=12 ....(2)

Adding Equations (1) and (2), we get
2x+3y+2x3y=24+12
4x=36
x=9
Putting x=9 in Equation (1), we get
2×9+3y=24
18+3y=24
3y=6
y=2
Thus xy=9×2=18
