The given equations are
2x+3y=6 .....i1x+12y=2 .....ii
Multiplying (ii) by 2 and subtracting it from (ii), we get
3y-1y=6-42y=2y=1
Substituting y = 1 in (ii), we get
1x+12=21x=2-12=32x=23
Hence, the correct answer is option (b).
