Solution

Step 1 : Find the value of x and y.

2x+y=23……………………………………………….equation 1

4x-y=19……………………………………………….equation 2

Add equation 1 and equation 2.

2x+y+4x-y=23+196x=42x=7

Putting value of x in equation1.

2(7)+y=23y=23-14y=9

Step 2 : Find the value of 5y-2x.

5y-2x=5(9)-2(7)5y-2x=45-145y-2x=31

Step 3 : Find the value of yx-2.

yx-2=97-2yx-2=9-147yx-2=-57

Hence, the value of 5y-2x is 31 and value of yx-2is -57.
