We have, 3x−1 = 9⇒3x−1 = 32⇒x − 1 = 2⇒x = 2 + 1⇒x = 3Now, 4y+2 = 64⇒4y+2 = 43⇒y + 2 = 3⇒y = 3 − 2⇒y = 1Now, xy = 31 = 3
y/x-x/y=1/3-3
=1/3-9/3
=-8/3
