Dear student, Let the number be 'x' As 6 is added to the number ( i.e. the new number becomes x +6 ) and this sum is multiplied by 3 ( i.e. 3*(x+6) ) which is equal to 90.Therefore, the equation becomes3×(x+6) = 90(x+6) = 903(x + 6) = 30x=30-6x=24Therefore, the given number is 24Regards
