Given fraction = $\frac{5}{9}$
Now adding 5 to numerator and denominator $= \frac{5 + 5}{9 + 5} = \frac{10}{14} = \frac{5}{7}$
Obviously, $\frac{5}{7} > \frac{5}{9}$
So the value will increase.
