Given, $\frac{50}{100} of (x - y) = \frac{30}{100} of (x + y)$

$⟹ \frac{50}{100} (x - y) = \frac{30}{100} (x + y)$

$⟹ 5 (x - y) = 3 (x + y)$

$⟹ 5 x - 5 y = 3 x + 3 y$

$⟹ x = 4 y$

$⟹ y = \frac{1}{4} x$
