Given:
8x9y=20 ........... (1)
7x10y=9 ......... (2)
Multiplying (1) by 7 and (2) by 8 and then subtract (2) from (1), we get
(56x63y)(56x80y)=14072
17y=68
y=4
Now, put y=4 in (1)
8x9×4=20
8x=20+36=56
x=7
Now 2xy=2×74=10
