Question

If A and B are two sets such that n(AB) = 50, n(A) = 28 and n(B) = 32, find n(AB).

Open in App
Solution

n(AB) = 50, n(A)= 28, n(B)= 32, where n(x) does notes the cardinal number of the set x.

We know that n(AB)=n(A)+n(B)n(AB)

50=28+32n(AB)

50=60n(AB)

n(AB)=6050=10

n(AB)=10
