x²+x-2 = 0
√(b²-4ac) = √(1 + 4×2)
= √9 = 3

x = [-1+3]/2 or [-1-3]/2
x = 1 or -2

i.e α = 1 and β = -2
(1\α)-(1\β) = 1/1 - (1/-2)
= 1 + 1/2
= 3/2
